Despite high temperatures, the second day of Infoagro registered an increase in attendance compared to the opening day. Visitors showed particular interest in hydroponic cultivation systems and the wide selection of biostimulants and biological nutrition inputs on display.
Biostimulants were featured across a broad spectrum of crop types, including conventional production. According to one company representative, demand is expanding due to ongoing soil degradation linked to extended use of inorganic fertilizers. They stated that the introduction of new formulations and bioinputs is contributing to this trend.
The exhibition also included equipment and machinery for various stages of the production cycle. Solutions ranged from tillage tractors and forklifts to electric mobility devices designed for efficient movement within greenhouses, many of which in Almería exceed 5,000 m² in size.
Water management technologies were also presented extensively. Several exhibitors showcased smart irrigation systems, integrating artificial intelligence at multiple levels. These systems aim to enhance control, monitoring, and distribution of water resources. Exhibitors noted that Almería's approach to irrigation continues to be referenced within the sector, while ongoing advances in digital and physical water optimization tools are being applied to further refine water use efficiency.
Infoagro continues today, with sessions and demonstrations focused on integrated production inputs, greenhouse technologies, and precision agriculture systems. We'll publish a full photo report on Monday.
