NL: Transforming crop protection from reactive to preventive

Royal Brinkman and ViewNetic have announced a new commercial partnership. Together, they are introducing an intelligent solution that shifts crop protection from reactive measures to a preventive approach.

This partnership is the result of two years of joint market validation and real-world testing efforts. By combining Royal Brinkman's horticultural expertise with ViewNetic's technological innovation, growers gain the ability to detect pests and diseases at an early stage, drive better decisions, and precise actions. This not only boosts efficiency but also reduces the use of crop protection products. This is a vital step towards more sustainable horticulture.

By joining forces, the companies hope to growers one step closer to precision growing. Ido Dor, CEO ViewNetic (l) and Koen Bol, Innovation Specialist at Royal Brinkman (r).

From reacting to preventing
By deploying proprietary mobile AI vision sensors and creating data-driven insights, the system supports growers in taking the right action at the right time and in the right place. The platform can be implemented on with current cultivation practices and operates fully / semi autonomously. This enables early identification and targeted intervention, resulting in higher yields, better quality, reduced cost, and improved sustainability.

Innovating together for growers
"At Royal Brinkman, we are constantly searching for innovations that contribute to sustainable and efficient cultivation," says Ton van Mil, CEO of Royal Brinkman. "The collaboration with ViewNetic aligns perfectly with our mission to offer smart, impactful solutions to growers worldwide. This technology enables growers to act proactively. The feedback from the market has been very promising. It's a major step forward in cultivating smarter and more sustainably."

A shared vision for the future
ViewNetic CEO Ido Dor shares: "Royal Brinkman is a trusted leader in global horticulture, and we are proud to collaborate with a partner who shares our belief in the power of innovation. By joining forces, we are bringing growers one step closer to precision growing - and delivering real impact for people, the planet and profitability."

Experience it live at GreenTech 2025
The ViewNetic innovation has been nominated for the GreenTech Concept Award 2025. During GreenTech Amsterdam (10–12 June), Royal Brinkman and ViewNetic will demonstrate the solution live at their shared stand (number 01.227). Growers and other visitors are warmly invited to see the technology in action and speak directly with the experts.
