NL: WUR, Svensson formalize partnership

The long-term collaboration between WUR Greenhouse Horticulture and Svensson as
a preferred supplier has officially been formalized. Monique van Wordragen (WUR) and
Marcel Nouel (Svensson) signed this collaboration agreement.

WUR Greenhouse Horticulture, known for its research facilities and expertise in horticulture, greenhouse climate, plant physiology, light-, crop protection and fertilization research, and Svensson, a leading company in the development of innovative screen and climate solutions for greenhouse horticulture, have decided to join forces in a long-term partnership.

Both parties are committed to jointly researching the application and optimization of climate screens in greenhouse horticulture. This partnership will focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of climate screens, with the aim of enhancing the overall performance of greenhouse horticulture.

Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and Svensson have collaborated on several innovative projects aimed at improving greenhouse efficiency and plant growth. One notable collaboration was the "Winterlichtkas" project, where a prototype Luxous energy screen from Svensson was installed at an angle rather than flat. This design adjustment allowed more natural light to enter the greenhouse, enhancing plant growth and energy efficiency. Another significant collaboration was the Grip on Light project, which focused on optimizing light conditions for potted plants. This was achieved by using Svensson's light-diffusing Harmony climate screens, which allowed more light to reach the plants, supporting their development and health.
