As we expand, we’re seeking an experienced and driven Farm Manager – Orchard Fields to oversee the cultivation and production of tropical fruits such as mango, banana, and avocado.
The Opportunity
In this field-based leadership role, you will be responsible for the full cycle of orchard management—from planning and planting to harvesting and post-harvest handling. You will drive productivity, crop quality, and resource efficiency while ensuring that all farming practices align with both local and international standards.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily operations across orchard fields, including irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and pruning, tailored to mango, banana, and avocado crops.
- Lead and coach the field team to meet production targets and maintain high-quality crop outcomes.
- Monitor plant health, soil conditions, and weather patterns to optimize growing conditions and yield.
- Coordinate with agronomy, logistics, and supply chain teams to align farm activities with harvesting and distribution schedules.
- Implement and monitor compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), health and safety regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee resource planning, labor allocation, and cost control to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
What You’ll Bring
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in orchard or tropical fruit farm management, with specific expertise in mango, banana, and avocado production.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong understanding of orchard cultivation practices, crop nutrition, irrigation systems, and harvest planning.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and resolve field-level challenges effectively.
- Proficiency in agricultural software tools and Microsoft Office; fluent in English.
